Is Dealer Paint Protection Worth It?

Where the Dealer Price Actually Goes
The product itself is often a perfectly reasonable ceramic or film system. The contract price reflects the dealership’s margin on top of it, not a better coating.
Ceramic, Film, or Both
Ceramic buys years of gloss and easier washing. Film is the only product that stops stone chips. Most cars benefit from ceramic overall with film on the nose. Neither is right for every car, and we’ll say so.
